Amazon Promotions & Pricing Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical Promotions & Pricing Analyst to own the strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of Amazon deals and pricing. This role requires a strong background in data analysis and a strategic mindset, with the goal of maximizing product visibility and profitability through well-timed promotions and accurate pricing. The ideal candidate thrives in a cross-functional environment, leverages data to inform every decision, and understands the intricacies of Amazon’s promotional and pricing ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Deal Optimization & Management:
Manage Lightning Deals, Best Deals, and other promotions, prioritizing strategies based on data insights.
Set inventory thresholds based on historical performance and forecasting models.
Analyze post-deal results to refine future promotional strategies.
Promotional Planning & Forecasting:
Maintain a promotional calendar for top ASINs and new product launches.
Use predictive analytics to recommend timing, discounts, and product focus.
Identify eligibility constraints using historical and Amazon platform data.
Pricing Strategy & Data Integrity:
Conduct regular audits for pricing accuracy across listings.
Monitor and flag ASINs at risk of MAP violations, and recommend mitigation steps.
Maintain a pricing restrictions tracker and propose pattern-based corrective actions.
Event Planning & Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams to execute high-impact promotions for Prime Day, BFCM, etc.
Align promotional plans with advertising initiatives to boost ROI.
Inventory Coordination:
Use sales velocity and lead-time data to forecast inventory needs during key promotional periods.
Partner with inventory teams to prevent stockouts on high-performing ASINs.
Promotions & Conversion Strategy:
Evaluate effectiveness of different promotion types (e.g., coupons, tiered discounts).
Develop and test strategies around pricing, bundling, and conversion optimization.
ASIN Eligibility Tracking:
Maintain an ASIN readiness database and identify under-utilized products.
Flag top-performing but under-promoted ASINs for strategic alignment.
Requirements:
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, and experience with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus.
Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and marketplace promotional mechanics.
Detail-oriented and process-driven with the ability to take a strategic approach.
Comfortable working cross-functionally with inventory, advertising, and marketing teams.
Prior experience in e-commerce or pricing/promotion management is preferred.
