Analytics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for pulling complex analysis queries to support data science and business operations, interpreting data to identify trends and patterns, and communicating these findings to various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, data analytics, and proficiency in using Snowflake and DBT. Your expertise will help internal teams understand market performance developments and make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret data from various business operations to identify trends and patterns, focusing on areas such as search engine marketing data, keyword performance, and ad spend.

  • Develop, implement, and manage BI solutions to improve business processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain analytical dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, deliver insights, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions to ensure continuity and ease of use.

  • Train and support team members in utilizing BI tools and interpreting data effectively.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analytics, search engine marketing, and related technologies.

  • Utilize the data stack, which includes Python, Snowflake, DBT, Prefect.io, Preset.io, Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS, to facilitate and streamline data analysis processes.

Requirements:

  • C1 level English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics.

  • Strong SQL query skills on large datasets.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Preset, Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.

  • Must have experience with Snowflake and DBT.

  • Strong understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques.

  • Ability to present complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with Python or R is a plus.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing metrics (CPA, CPC, CPM, ROAS) is a plus.

  • Availability to work hours overlapping with 8am - 10am PST/PDT.
