Bookkeeper

Permanent Employee, Full-time, Remote, PST Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, proficiency in QuickBooks, and experience with e-commerce platforms. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

  • Process invoices, payments, and employee expense reimbursements in a timely manner.

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

  • Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.

  • Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax and payroll taxes.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with all relevant regulations.

  • Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.

  • 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.

  • Experience with Bill.com for accounts payable.

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

  • Experience in e-commerce is a plus.

  • Experience with Amazon for reporting books is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
